RepresentAsian
RepresentAsian is the Asian Presidents’ Council’s new initiative dedicated to increasing APIDA (Asian American Pacific Islander Desi American) representation within Texas A&M’s Student Government through resources, workshops, and mentorship. RepresentAsian is a cohort-based program specifically for Aggies who are interested in representing the APIDA community through their involvement with Student Senate. The program aims to make their transition in Student Senate as smooth as possible, and produce the most well-rounded candidates to represent APIDA Aggies voices.

Mission: To provide a platform and network to encourage Asian American Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Aggies to participate in Student Government Association’s Student Senate.
RepresentAsian enables increased APIDA student representation in an important civic outlet, and serves as a voice for the APIDA community here on campus. This program emphasizes the important of having elected officials that share the APIDA background and experience within a diverse campus community, and increases the importance and visibility of historically underrepresented student issues.
