APIDA Heritage Month
April 2024

Join us as we celebrate APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi-American) Heritage Month in April 2022. The purpose of APIDA Heritage Month is to acknowledge and celebrate the culture and contribution the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) community as well as amplify the voices of the APIDA Aggie community.

AHM at Texas A&M University allows students the opportunity to engage in festivities and educational programs before the end of the semester.

This year’s AHM theme is Unraveling History, Weaving a Legacy.

Through unraveling and reflecting on our history, we learn the importance of our presence and lived experience in the United States and at Texas A&M. Reflecting the memories, stories, and wisdom of those who paved the way for us not only allows us to understand who we are today, but to embrace the ability to leave a legacy like them.

We have the power to bring our communities together, celebrate our heritage, and uplift each other to create change. Together, we can weave our stories into a legacy that actively shapes a better future for next generations. Our AHM theme embodies the importance of learning our community’s history and sharing our narratives so that we can leave a legacy we are all proud of.
