Kristina Samuel
Howdy! My name is Kristina Samuel, and I am a Biology Honors major and Philosophy minor from San Antonio, Texas. My pronouns are she/they.
I am part of many organizations here at Texas A&M such as MOVE Texas A&M, Aggie Minority Women in Law, SGA Senator, Community Relations Committee in the Senate, and the Mock Trial Team.
With my time here, I have learned about the diverse Asian-American student community. The APIDA community is so vibrant, but not many people talk about it. APIDA students only make up like 8 percent of the community at Texas A&M. However, just within one ethnicity, there are a lot of variations. We should come together and share a common understanding as APIDA students.
Additionally, I am honored to represent this community by vocalizing their concerns. I have passed resolutions such as Anti Asian American Hate and Voting Rates in regards to the APIDA community. With MOVE Texas, I represent the APIDA organizations as they are a safe and diverse place to build community. I would visit organizations on campus and educate them about the elections and early voting. I would be able to register people to vote right then and there.
